Everyone knows Mr. Joyce as our P.E. teacher at Kanoelani Elementary, but did you know he is also a comedian? Mr. Joyce has another job as a stand up comedian and performs at places like Blue Note, Hawaiian Brian’s, and Anna O’Briens. He decided to be a comedian because he likes to make people laugh by thinking of funny things that happen in life. He makes $25-$30 depending on the show and says the best thing about being a comedian is people saying “good job” after the show and getting to meet famous comedians along the way like local comedian Tamua Tuinei. If you are interested in being a comedian it is very important to be able to talk in front of a crowd and to have a good stage presence.
